Antoine Metelin

Born in St. Petersburg in 1974, Antoine Metelin began his piano studies at the Russian piano school in St. Petersburg where he followed a double course of piano and composition.

He has been living in France since 1993 and completed his musical studies with Jean Martin (piano), professor at the CNR in Versailles and Dominique Ferran (organ), professor at the CNR in Poitiers.

In addition, he holds the Diplôme d'Etat de professeur de piano and is a winner of the UFAM International Organ Competition in Paris. Interested especially by singing accompaniment, he has perfected David Abramovitz, Dalton Baldvin, Noël Lee and François Le Roux during various professional training courses.

As a harpsichordist, he studied with Dominique Ferran and Jesper Christensen (professor at the Schola Cantorum in Basel).

Since 1995, he has given numerous piano, organ and harpsichord concerts as a soloist and with various chamber music ensembles (Poitiers, Périgueux, La Rochelle, Lille, Limoges, Blois, Paris, Cahors, La Roche / Yon) and participates in festivals and musical events: "Septembre musical de Valençay", "Festival Bach" by Belvès, Lyric International Festival "De Vive Voix", "Festival de Saint-Yrieix la Perche", ...

He also accompanies master classes, including Christophe COIN (cello), Régis Pasquier (violin), Laurent Korcia (violin) as part of the CRR, Élisabeth Vidal and André Cognet (lyric) Internationale de Nice, the International Competition of Lyric Art "De Vive Voix" by Vivonne, as well as the various operas with piano. He also accompanies at the International Academy of Mende of the master classes of Gérard Théruel.

Since 2002, Antoine Metelin is an accompanying pianist at the Opéra de Limoges and at the CRR in Limoges.
